Carnivals And Grocery Shopping

Thank you so much to Tara at Feels Like Home for including my post, "M&M Cookie Goodness" in this weeks edition of the "Make it From Scratch Carnival".

Check out the entries, there are some really really good ones!!

On to the Grocery Shopping!

I decided to plan for two weeks so I wouldn't have to worry about the budget. I don't think it will be too bad, we still have a few staples left in the pantry, so I don't need to purchase a lot of canned veggies. I'm tired of the same old thing, so about the only thing we are "repeating" for the next two weeks is hot dogs. I try to make those 1 or two times a month, we usually use them for Karate nights when we get home at 6PM, and we'll only have them once.

So I need two more meal ideas, something easy and cheap and not involving beef, pork or turkey. And I'm kinda sick of chicken! lol

Any ideas?

Like I said on Facecrack...tuna melts! Couple cans of tuna, some cheese and some bread and you are set. Quick and cheap.

Hmmm...

The BBQ Beef Cups (I know you said no beef but trust me on this one!) that I make once in a while. Pillsbury biscuits pressed into a muffin pan so they have little 'cups' where you put browned ground beef that's been mixed with brown sugar and BBQ sauce. Top it all off with cheese and bake. SO GOOD. I like to top them with chopped raw onion to serve.

Breakfast for dinner! Eggs, toast, bacon/sausage and hashbrowns. Or do huevos rancheros with crisped tortillas and salsa topped with a fried egg.

Fajitas! Do them with chicken or beef or all veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, refried beans etc).

Easy stir fry - 1 each color pepper, garlic, onions, broccoli, celery, carrots. Stir fry together with zesty italian dressing and soy sauce and serve over rice.

Check the recipe section of my blog or ask me for some more ideas!
